I am in shock and utterly saddened by this tremendous loss. Marlysha and I interned for a judge together years ago. I remember vividly her grace, elegance, deep sense of purpose, and her beautiful smile. She was radiant. I cannot believe she, Paul, and Leilani are no longer here. My deepest condolences to their families, friends, and colleagues. Please know that they will never be forgotten. May they soar high and may we see them again when it's our time.
Marlysha was a beautiful person and a fierce advocate, and it was a privilege to have had her as a colleague at DOJ. My deepest condolences to her family and all who are grieving these tragic losses.
Marlysha, I still cannot believe you are no longer with us in the physical realm, but I know your spirit will live on through the many lives you touched, including mine.
I’m so grateful DOJABA brought us together. I had the privilege of serving under your leadership and later succeeding you as Chair, but what I cherish most is the friendship, laughter, love, and sisterhood we shared. You were the epitome of Finer Womanhood.
You cared deeply about justice, uplifting Black people and celebrating our culture, and you loved your family and your faith fiercely. The love you had for Paul and Lelani was unmistakable. You were a beautiful soul and a true joy to know.
I keep returning to…
This is a heartbreaking loss and I send my deepest condolences to the family. Marlysha was my colleague at the Department of Justice. She was a dedicated public servant, and leader in DOJABA. She will be missed.
I extend my deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the Liddell Family. Marlysha was an extraordinary public servant at the Justice Department who acted justly, showed mercy and walked humbly. May this family rest in heavenly peace.
