My sincerest condolences to the family of Reverend Owens, wife Ms. Margaret, daughter Kristian, son Aaron, in-laws and his siblings. I am sitting here at 3:00 am in disbelief that Anthony is no longer with us, I am not sure how I missed this almost a year ago but I decided to check his social media page and could not believe that my dear friend of 35 plus years had received his wings.
Typically Anthony and I would connect ever so often via phone and more recently since he had transitioned his ministry to social media. We often shared stories about growing up in the old neighborhood in SE because although Tony was a little older, we knew some of…

Over the past few months, God has called a few of our cousins home. When I received the news that Tony had transitioned over, I felt numb, but I find comfort knowing he is no longer in pain.
When you called me on my birthday in February, I sensed something, but you never complained. You told me you had been invited to preach that Sunday, and even in your discomfort, you remained faithful in serving God. I always joked with you about the transformation that came over you—from quiet, meek, and humble to powerfully anointed—when you preached.

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Rev Anthony Owen's, our 8th Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and prayers for peace and comfort during this time of grief .
