Over the past few months, God has called a few of our cousins home. When I received the news that Tony had transitioned over, I felt numb, but I find comfort knowing he is no longer in pain.

When you called me on my birthday in February, I sensed something, but you never complained. You told me you had been invited to preach that Sunday, and even in your discomfort, you remained faithful in serving God. I always joked with you about the transformation that came over you—from quiet, meek, and humble to powerfully anointed—when you preached.

You exemplified what God seeks in a man through the way you loved and cared for your wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends, and…

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Rev Anthony Owen's, our 8th Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and prayers for peace and comfort during this time of grief .

Our DG34 group was truly blessed to pray with Dr. Owens every Monday. His presence on our calls was always uplifting-his unwavering faith, peaceful spirit, and inspiring prayers were a testament to his deep love for God.


Personally, I spent a week in denial, processing his passing. But this Sunday and Monday when his calm voice wasn't present, I had to set aside my selfish tears and accept that our dear brother has made it home, now resting in the loving embrace of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.


Dr. Owens, thank you for being a steadfast prayer warrior and a source of encouragement to us all. Your faithfulness has left a lasting impact. While we will miss you dearl…
