Obituary

Curtis Orlando Artis II was born on October 27, 1992 in Washington, D.C. to Ecolia and the late Curtis Sr.

Curtis was educated in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, before attending Fishburne Military Academy and ultimately, graduating from the Kanawha County Public School system located in West Virginia, where he resided.

After graduation, Curtis took an interest in real-estate before stepping out on faith to follow his dreams of exploring a career in the entertainment industry. Curtis enjoyed promoting, networking and interacting with many recording artists whom he developed friendships with.

Curtis wholeheartedly embodied the notion of living life to its fullest and he undoubtedly did that - and in his own way.

Despite his fly attire and charming ways, Curtis was a very humble man who had a huge heart for people. He devotedly befriended and encouraged everyone in the community regardless of their background or circumstances. He was resourceful, resilient, and always landed on his feet, when life gave him lemons... Curtis made lemonade.

From his style, to the way he carried himself, Curtis was truly one of a kind. He was hilariously funny and had a noticeable smile and infectious laugh! In line with his motto “Money aint Going To Make Itself” Curtis worked persistently to enjoy the finer things in life. From traveling around the world, to enjoying homes that could have been featured on MTV Cribs.

On December 8th, 2021, with not an ounce of regret in his heart, Curtis was welcomed into the eternal heavenly mansion.

Leaving to rejoice in the memories he created is his son Montana (Kelsey): his parents Ecolia and Reginald. His brother: Montana. Sisters: Anastasia, Minique, De’ja’, Ki’Aunjanae, Laila, and Destiny. Nephews: Sean, Jaylen, Joshua, and Dakota. Nieces: Taliyah, Farrah, and Eva. Grandmother: Deborah and a bonus Grandpa Johnny and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his father Curtis Sr. Paternal grandparents: Lawrence and Alfreda. His maternal grandfather Charles. Uncles Steven and Kenneth. A bonus grandmother Evelyn, and his friends Pops and Pheno.

Although he has gone home to be with The Lord, Curtis will forever live in our hearts.
